If I Should Die Before I Wake

A boy is sworn to secrecy by his classmate, who tells him an adult stranger has been giving her candy and plans to take her to his candy house. When her body is found later, the boy is torn between honoring his word to his dead friend and telling the truth to his father - a police inspector in charge of the case.
